- Does your CV reflect your technical/personable skills? And is it up to date?
- Do you have the right qualifications to apply for the role?
- Are you prepared for the interview?
- Do you know the correct salary you should be asking for?
- Knowing your reasons for applying for the job.
1) Does your CV reflect your technical/personable skills? And is it up to date?
There's a lot of pressure to ensure that you're showcasing your skills correctly on your CV. Whether you're actively looking for work or just open to being approached about new opportunities, it's always a good idea to have an updated CV. Not only does it save you time in the long run, but it also means you won't miss out on any great opportunities. By regularly updating your CV, you'll see just how much progress you've made in the last year and, more importantly, where you need to improve.
2) Do you have the right qualifications to apply for the role?
Qualifications show your knowledge and skills building in a specialist subject. If you achieve a qualification in your specialist subject, employers know you have developed the life skills and the factual knowledge they need to offer you the job.
3) Are you prepared for the interview?
Preparing for your interviews is the most crucial step to landing a job. Preparing for all types of questions is the best way to avoid being caught off-guard. You'll appear cool, calm, and collected by doing the preparation. Having a backup plan in case things go wrong on the day of the interview will further your chance of success and move you to the next step.
Common interview questions fall into four main categories: Questions about you, your experience, your knowledge, and why you want the job.

4) Do you know the correct salary you should be asking for?
Talking about your salary is one of the most important conversations you can have with a prospective employer. The most crucial time to have this conversation is before you accept a job role.

4) Knowing your reasons for applying for the job.
You have a good shot at accomplishment and personal growth in the right job. Apply these three rules: Know the role, understand what it would be and what you could accomplish. In the wrong role, you may find disappointment. Be sure to understand what you'll do before applying for a job. Pay attention to your future boss and whether they will help you succeed.
