This is a key role, where you will be using your extensive technical experience in Security Engineering in which you will be responsible for keeping the company’s security systems up and running. You will be implementing and testing new and improved security features and planning computer and network upgrades. This role comes with a lot of freedom to conduct your work the way you want too, while keeping with the expected standard of work from the company. The role also requires a lot of creativity as you will need to problem solve when implementing and testing your new security features. You will also report into the Director, Global Security Engineering and Architecture.
THE ROLE
In this role you will be…
Designing, Applying and Supporting Security Solutions
Planning and recording the standard operating systems procedures
Configuring and troubleshooting devices in the security infrastructure
Cultivating technical solutions and new security tools to aid mitigating security vulnerabilities and to automate repeatable tasks.
Writing thorough reports that include findings based on assessments conducted, outcomes and proposals for furthering security system enhancement.
Providing consulting and guidance to the companies CISO team, Engineering team and agency IT teams in research and design of secure solutions.
Cooperating with suppliers during professional services engagements.
Enhancing and convert the usage of threat modelling devices and procedures in the organisation.
Determining the extent of penetration testing, review test results and prepare a report for stakeholders.
Recommending enhancements to the company’s Enterprise Security Architecture tools and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience of
Designing and implementing security systems and controls in conformance with security policy, security standards and best practices
Conducting product evaluations, proofs of concept and pilots
Knowledge of
Identity and access management concepts
Enterprise software, containers, operating systems and server visualisation
Microsoft technologies such as Office 365, SQL server, Active Directory and Windows
Web Security, including web application firewalls, web security and API gateways
E-mail security, including secure e-mail gateways, anti-Phishing, DMARC, and account takeover and mitigation
Cloud services security, including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure security controls.
Endpoint device protection tools such as anti-virus, EDR and XDR
Mobile device security, such as mobile threat detection

SENIOR SECURITY TECHNICAL ADVISOR |

Adeptis group is currently partnered with an organisation whose work in the telecommunications industry will shape the Security structure within the whole Sector over the next five years and more.
The company in question has been working within the communications network security and resilience area for a number of years now and has recently taken on a lot more responsibilities than before. This is all due to the ever increasing economic and social significance of communications and services. This organisation is taking proactive steps to ensure that the Security within communications is being designed and operated to meet the needs and expectations of users.
In this role you will be afforded the opportunity to take on the challenge of becoming a Security advisor, where you would be working on projects with high strategic impact the GB critical national infrastructure. You would also be influencing significant change in line with the NIS directive across the entire communications sector. You would be working across various Cyber Security regulatory regimes, such as Telecoms Security, Digital Infrastructure, Network, and Information Systems (NIS) regulations and more.
What you would be doing:
Working with other members of the Advisory team to respond and assess telecoms, digital infrastructure company responses to infrastructure to security and resilience through incidents that happen within their infrastructure.
Work with colleagues in the companies’ investigations teams to provide your technical knowledge and support relative to any application activity.
Assist in the roll out of a programme promoting the usage of the new legislation supporting the TSR.
Maintain and support compliance monitoring methods that will provide annual reports to the Secretary of State.
Work with industry shareholders, government, and any other relevant agencies to guarantee policy aspirations are aligned and effectively navigated.
What you will need:
Experience and insight of conducting security assurance assessments and audits as well as managing remediation plans, within a communications provider.
Understanding the types of threat actors that would aim to breach the companies regulated sector.
Evaluating technical vulnerabilities and recognising reasonable and appropriate control measures.
Experience in fixed and mobile signalling and virtualisation from telecoms viewpoint.
Knowledge and understanding of the human and physical aspects in security relating to telecoms security technologies.
Written and verbal communications skills including clear and effective presentation to audiences both internal and external.

Vous évoluerez sur des projets internationaux nécessitant un bon niveau d'anglais à l'oral comme à l'écrit, et suivrez les projets de bout en bout
Vous serez accompagné pour développer vos compétences et également dans le passage de certifications.

Le rôle consiste à intervenir sur des missions d'analyse SOC N2-N3 dans un environnement multi-technologies et international, au sein d'une équipe d'experts et de passionnés.
Vous serez également accompagné dans le passage de certifications et de formations pour monter en compétences sur des sujets de réponse à incidents complexes et dessiner votre carrière professionnelle en sécurité défensive.
